Situated across from the picturesque Crocodile River, Kambaku River Lodge is an idyllic destination and one that is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy some well-deserved downtime in luxury Kruger National Park accommodation.
Kambaku River Lodge provides guests with a truly luxurious stay, one that will help them completely shut off and re-energise. Our lodge is in a tranquil setting, well away from the noise of the modern world. And with the stunning views on offer, it’s difficult not to feel relaxed and at ease.
Whether you are looking to stretch your legs on our deck and watch the passing wildlife which frequents the river, or should you want to be more active during your stay, a stay at Kambaku provides for all kinds of guests.
Here are some of the things that you can do when staying at our Kruger National Park accommodation:
Go on safari
The Kruger National Park is on our doorstep and we have our own safari vehicle to take guests into the park. The southern Kruger is one of the best places to spot all kinds of animals including the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino; the animals that make up the Big 5. This area of the park is in a tropical region, with tall leafy trees that have become home to elusive leopards, the one animal that few guests get to see. An early morning game drive is the best way to see animals before the sun heats up the day and animals shy away.
Once you are back at the lodge, the game viewing can continue either from our lawns or from the deck. Guests can enjoy a sundowner while watching wildlife coming for an evening drink. When the sun has set, we turn on our floodlights, and guests can catch sight of various nocturnal animals.
- Visit the spa
A perfect way to unwind while on holiday is to visit a spa, and we have one at the lodge, exclusively for our guests. Offering all kinds of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments, time in our spa is a must when you stay at Kambaku River Lodge. At the Dzombo Spa, we have an in-house massage therapist who’ll leave you feeling like a new person.
After returning from a safari, going to the spa will become a great way to end off the day. Be sure to ask about treatments while you are making your booking.
- Play some golf
We happen to be located close to the famous Leopard Creek Golf Course and we are happy to organise a day of golf for those staying with us. If you are planning on golfing, make sure that you visit the Leopard Creek Golf website to find out more about the clubs dress code.
